Pretty Canvas

Hello readers!

Okay, first thing of all, I do really miss Perth. I know, heaps of people say that it’s pretty boring when you have to compare it with Sydney or Melbourne. Perth isn’t that boring when you know where to go. Well, I have my food guide — Elliott.

One sunny day, the four of us decided to try something new — Middle Eastern food. I had never tried that cuisine but I decided to give it a shot. I hoped it wouldn’t taste that bad! *fingers crossed* as it was my first time trying Middle Eastern food.

So we arrived at this place called — Fremantle Arts Centre. It does look like an exhibition centre, a pretty small one. Once you step in, you can see how crowded that place it. Therefore, make sure you come before the peak hour.

Basically, Canvas Cafe’s signature dish is Shakshuka  as what I’m showing you guys through the picture.

This dish is made of poaches eggs, with tomato sauce, chili peppers and onions, and maybe some other ingredients as well. It does look like pasta sauce to me. I was expecting it to taste like pasta sauce, well since the two of them are tomato based, but it was different. It definitely didn’t taste like pasta sauce. Although it contains chilli pepper, it’s not spicy at all — well, to me since I have pretty good chilli tolerance.

Rich in flavour, and very crunchy outside.

And for the last dish of the day, crap, I’ve really forgotten what this dish is called. Check on the menu, and look for something with Barramundi. I have pretty bad memories when it comes to remembering food names x)

 But yes, check it out!

And an awesome Mocha to end the day — Fremantle was awesome!
